Shogun TW II
I have pre-ordered every TW game since Medieval, except STW II. After Empire and Nap, I just couldn't do it. Empire and Nap are not my time period when it comes to battles. (don't like gun powder) so maybe I should have pulled the trigger on STW II? I just left Game Stop. I had a copy in my hand but set it back down. Why? I don't know, maybe I didn't want to get caught up in a new game that would take me away from modding. Also didn't want to be disappointed by another TW game that is basically unmoddable in my opinion...
So did you guys buy it or plan to by it? I will buy it eventually, also couldn't believe SIM V is still 50 dollars. Have you guys seen Medieval SIMS? I've never been into SIMS but it looked cool.

Shogun II
I for one like it. The small scale of the game offers great RPG options and the AI isn't half bad. There are a few bugs, yes, but nowhere near as many as Empire or Napoleon. The battles are much faster paced than any of the other Total War games, giving it a more arcade-style feel to it (that could be either good or bad). All in all though, it is a fun game to play.
SIMS Medieval
Honestly, I can't tell you much about this other than the fact that my mom has it, but she's been too involved with Dragon Age II to play it more than a few minutes

S2TW
I hate the location and era, and from the demo the graphics SUCK b*lls.
Sims Medieval
Sounds cool.

Re: Shogun TW II
Demos are NEVER like the actual game. The actual Shogun 2 game is much better in every respect than the demo.

Re: Shogun TW II
Well, now I will just have to go pick it. Maybe next pay check. Hopefully I wont have to work next weekend. Will be the first in three. I would love to get back to the Arcane UI I have been working on.

Re: Shogun TW II
I find it really stupid that they changed the name to Total War: Shogun II. It sounds a lot better as Shogun II Total War, and just because most other countries put their words in an odd order doesn't mean we should.
But I may buy the game when it goes on sale, right now I am waiting for Rome II.

Re: Shogun TW II
Agree about the name thing. Well the game may have to wait as some unexpected bills have come up. Atleast I have some overtime pay to help a bit.

Ahh, unless it can be made into a Rome or Greek game, I'm not paying. ETW and NTW hardened my heart when it comes to CA.

well, if you don't like the setting, the game won't be to your liking. but if you're neutral to it, or at least interested, i would recommend it.
it's a lot better than NTW or ETW.

Re: Shogun TW II
Ya the demo was all scripted, and I didn't like it at all.
I have heard good things from just about everyone about the game. I see where the UI could use some improvements but the seige battles look very interesting and fun.

if you don't like the scripting in the demo, but still aren't sure about buying it, try Mitch's custom battle mod.
